The Birthday Massacre is from Toronto, Canada. Combining their interests in various musical and artistic styles, the band has successfully accumulated an impressive international fan base, press accolades, and defied categorization with their unique sound and visuals.
The band was formed in 2000 and independently produced and recorded their first two albums, Nothing and Nowhere and Violet. Through both of these high-demand releases, as well as their highly acclaimed and beautifully atmospheric website, the band has obtained a large and loyal fan base throughout the world.
Currently, the band is preparing for upcoming shows on the "Walking With Strangers Tour" in North America with Mindless Self Indulgence and their return to the UK/Europe in the Summer.

Touring was indeed good this time out even with the 103F + temps in the US... which wasn't easy on us Canadians.
Some of the staff/bouncers/promoters/venues were really excellent and made sure we, and our audience all had a great show. BlackSun, the State Theater in Virginia, Cafe Campus, Code blue, were quite excellent...and so were most, but I know I'm forgetting things already.
Staff at a few venues have commented on how the people who come to our shows (you guys) don't cause stupid amounts of trouble and are a rather intelligent, lovely bunch of people. Give yourselves a hand!
Well, that's it for now. Enjoy the new songs... We hope to meet more of you on tour.
